- NO MORE HAIR EVERYWHERE: The ultimate pet hair roller for effective dog and cat hair removal. Far superior to traditional lint rollers for pet hair or sticky rollers, the ChomChom ensures deep cleaning.
- CONVENIENT: Take the ‘fur’ out of ‘furniture’ once and for all! Ideal for cleaning couches, pillows, rugs, and more. Whether it’s furniture, your car, or a carpet, this pet lint roller is an essential tool for all pet owners.
- VERSATILE: Not just a dog lint roller, it’s adept at cat hair removal too. The lint roller for pet hair extra sticky capability ensures every strand is picked up, leaving your spaces hair-free.
- EASY TO USE: Just roll back and forth along any surface to trap fur and lint into the built-in receptacle. When you’re all done, just press down on the release button to open the pet fur remover and empty it out completely. Purr-fectly simple!
- SUSTAINABLE – This reusable lint roller requires no adhesives or sticky tape, and can be used again and again.
I was a little confused at first because I was expecting it to roll normally like a regular roller, but all you do is move it up and down and it works perfectly. It’s what allows the self cleaning to work.
Highly, highly recommend!
The other difference is a closed compartment where the hair accumulates, that can be opened and emptied. This is simultaneously a nice feature -- and also the only design flaw. For some reason, the button/switch to open the compartment is positioned at the top of the handle so that when using it, it's virtually impossible to avoid unintentionally pushing the button and opening the compartment. Fortunately, the hair in the compartment doesn't get dumped out, but you have to keep closing it. Remedied this with a strip of tape, though you'll need to untape/retape to empty the hair in the compartment. That aside, it really works.
i have a couch from IKEA that attracts cat hair like nobody’s business. i’ve struggled for years trying to find different ways to lint roll it, but none of them have been both effective and fast. some were effective, like a rubber pet brush, but took forever. others were fast, like a sticky lint roller, but not effective.
this roller has everything you need! it’s so quick, simple to use, and as you can see by the picture it’s so effective. this is how much hair it picked up from my couch after i had already vacuumed the couch! it was easy to empty the roller, and it has a hole in the handle so it can be stored on a hook. i will say it works better on some surfaces than others (i tried it on a bath mat and it picked up absolutely nothing), but i needed it specifically for my couch and it worked like a charm. i’m very happy with this purchase 👍🏼
My in laws are now purchasing one for their home with cats & I'll be looking for a travel size one for my vehicle.
Highly recommend 10/10 amazing product
It’s SUPER easy to use and removes fur and lint effortlessly without damaging furniture or fabric. My sofa, blankets, and clothes have never looked better.
I’m only knocking off one star for a minor design flaw: the latch placement on the handle. It's a bit awkward, and I’ve accidentally opened it mid-swipe more than once, causing a small mess. Not a dealbreaker, but worth noting.
Despite that, I’d definitely recommend this to other pet owners. It works incredibly well and has already saved me money (and frustration) in the long run.
Highly recommend.
After watching a few videos of the product from other reviewers here on Amazon, I decided to take the plunge and see how effective it really is - and the good news is that it's very effective. Grabbing the handle allows you to push or pull and the system works in both directions; everything gets dumped into the hopper under the plastic barrel. The only downside I've experienced is that my thumb frequently pushes the button to open the barrel - but it doesn't dump anything out, so no biggie. The brushes are very good at picking up hair and other lint detritus that gathers on the couches. With the exceptions of being able to get into the cracks and seams, the product is outstanding. I recommend it.
The only thing that makes me a little sad is that the newer versions look a bit boring. I absolutely loved the one I got with the cute cat face on it — it made cleaning up pet hair just a little more fun. I wish they’d bring that design back!
But overall, this is hands down one of the best pet-related purchases I’ve ever made.
It’s not perfect but it picks up so much more hair than I expected. I used it on the spots where my cats always lay and it got up layers of hair I didn’t even know were there. It’s super satisfying to use and honestly kind of addicting.
I’ll be recommending this to all my friends and family with pets. If you’re tired of fighting fur, get this.
I was reluctant to try this, because I’d used a cheap knock off in the past and was unimpressed. I needed a waste free, convenient solution for pet hair maintenance on my furniture, and this thing blew me away. I did a lot of research before making a selection, and despite the thousands of positive reviews, I was still skeptical because of the similar knock off I’d tried before. It far exceeded the other product, and all of the positive reviews are warranted. I would recommend this to anyone. Although; I have two cats with soft fluffy hair, and it works great. I could see how this product could generate some static when used on wire-y dog hairs.
We don’t use it directly on the dog, but she is couch colored and it’s always amazing to see how much hair is removed.
If you’re looking for an alternative to sticky rollers, this is great!
This product is even better because it is reusable, very easy to use and a no-brainer. It is as well made as it can be, but is still very flimsy looking, so I cannot speak to durability. It does not work very well on leather furniture. It needs something rough and not smooth so rugs bath mats the covers to the arms of my couch and car seat seats that are not leather would also benefit. All in all very pleased with this.
Ask: I would love to see this product made even bigger, with the door to the compartment, not flopping open, AND maybe even a long handle like a mop handle so that you could use it in large areas.
I have a cat who refuses to sleep anywhere other than in my bed. I don’t mind but she sheds excessively which leaves my bed coated in black cat hair.
I also shed excessively. I have thick, wavy hair long enough to reach my waist and those long hairs end up everywhere, especially my pillows.
I’ve tried everything for the cat hair and to my frustration nothing really works *well*.
•Washing + Drying doesn’t get all of the hair, it gets some but leaves a good amount behind.
•Sticky Lint rollers get alot of it up but if I relied on lint rollers alone I’d be single-handedly keeping those companies in business for the sheer amount of disposable sheets I have to use to effectively remove most of the hair. I go through about a dozen of the sticky sheets to do my bed, pillows, and chair just one time. It’s not very cost effective.
•Other products never impress. Not the rubber pet hair brushes, not the metal “scrapers” or anything else that’s marketed here or elsewhere
So needless to say I gave up and resorted to just keeping an old blanket over everything until it’s time to sleep. The cat sleeps on her own smaller blanket if I can convince her.
THIS PRODUCT HAS CHANGED THE GAME COMPLETELY!!! I just got it today and after just a few short minutes I knew it was a winner, by far. The pictures I shared in my review was from a once over on my bedding that I just lint rolled 3-4 days ago. I was so giddy with the result I ran around my mother’s house where 2 more cats live (including one long hair) and hit a bunch of the surfaces there. I am in disbelief at the amount of hair this thing picks up. It leaves nothing behind.
I even happen to notice that it picked up a good amount of pet dander, which I had never even noticed on my bed before - GROSS!
There was a very minimal learning curve where I wasn’t quite sure how to make it work, but I realized right away that whatever you roll needs to be somewhat taut and as flat/wrinkle free as you can get it. It’ll roll more smoothly and is much more effective that way. I’ve yet to find the best way to clean it yet; so far I just pull out the contents and wipe with a damp paper towel but due to the pet dander I’d say this will need the occasional cleaning with a bit of soap and water.
I plan to pick up a few more of these as gifts for the people in my circle that have pets. My friend who fosters rescues and works in a vet’s office is going to love this!
TLDR: Look no further. Buy the thing! You won’t regret it. I confidently reccomend this pet hair remover. It exceeded my expectations. It is much more cost effective and efficient than sticky rollers or anything else I’ve tried. 10/10 without hesitation.
Fast forward to 2012, and I am in a second marriage with 3 kids. The last "not on furniture" dog died and we got a new dog named Zara. Hubs grew up in a house that allowed dogs on the furniture so when we saw that that Zara was able to jump on the furniture we had to make a decision. We did it the good ol' American way and put it to a vote. Hubs and all three girls voted to let the dog on the furniture, much to my dismay. Worse, Zara's hair is like nothing I've seen before... once it gets onto cloth, most of the time it clings to the point that the hairs have to be pulled out individually. Vacuuming, tape-style lint rollers, a Gleener depiller, velcro balls in the washer/dryer, Bounce pet hair dryer sheets ... they all leave a lot behind.
Fast forward to 2020 and not only am I at my wits' end with the dog hair, but all three kids are grown women and none of us likes that we can't sit on the furniture without having to get out a hand-held vacuum and vacuum the dog hair off the back of each others' pants.
Fast forward one last time to last week when I finally decided to get this Chom Chom gadget. I am ASTOUNDED at how well it works. I think the secret is with the little squeegee on the roller. I've tried using a squeegee on carpet before and it really does work, but it is unwieldy, cannot easily be done in more than one direction, and it must be done with a vacuum nearby to gather whatever gets pulled up. Also, then the squeegee ends up with pet hair on it so it needs to be cleaned before it gets put back into service for cleaning glass. With the Chom Chom, you get the benefit of the squeegee, but since it is on the roller, it is easier to do back/forth strokes. And then as for how the dog hair gets off the roller and into the hair collection chamber... maybe it is sorcery? I have no idea how that works but IT DOES!!
In full honesty, I still have to do extra strokes to get all of Zara's hair (it gets our other dog's "easy hair" on the first swipe), but the amount that the Chom Chom picks up relative to the number of passes I have to make over the fabric is unbelievable!
Once the chamber is full, I use a handheld vac to remove the hair and then it is ready to go again!
The only downsides that I can see are:
- Some dog hair gets trapped in the side hinges of the door to the collection chamber and has to be pulled out with the fingers. It is possible that if I cleaned it before it got SO FULL, that problem would go away, but we just have SO MUCH dog hair and the gadget is so effective that I would be emptying every couple of minutes.
- The button to open the collection chamber door is right where I place my thumb for strength so I tend to pop it open when I am doing the actual rolling task (I seem to have this problem with a lot of products that have a button in the center, so that might be a "me" problem.)
- The chom chom is 7.5" wide which is excellent for cleaning furniture, but a narrower version would be better for clothing, especially when the dog hair gets on the clothes while they're being worn and it would be impractical to remove the clothes (e.g., if you get dog hair on your black pants when you ride in your co-worker's car to lunch during the workday.)
BOTTOM LINE: I have had this little gadget for less than a week and have already recommended it to several people and wrote this review while I was looking to see if they had a narrower model for my car/office/coat closet. I wish I had owned this years ago, and I would 100% buy it again.
Word of caution to anyone with pain or weakness in their arms that it takes time and repetitive physical effort to complete the amount of passes it takes to clean thoroughly.
I'm unsure if they offer a smaller version for clothes but that would be grand, as I find it very awkward to use on clothes (especially when on) as you must move the roller back and forth in order for it to pick the fur up. I recommend putting clothing on an ironing board and pulling the fabric taut so it doesn't flop around while rolling.
I find the placement of the button for opening the fur collection compartment aggravating, as due to the placement of it, I constantly pop the lid off while using it. My hands are the size of my 11 y.o. child's, so I can't imagine how annoying it would be if I had larger hands.
If Chom Chom rollers were $20-$25 and had a smaller, I'd gladly buy several for car, office, home, etc.
Would love to see Chom Chom come up with a vacuum attachment. THAT would be well worth $40+, as adding in suction of a vacuum to a product like this would be the perfect pet hair removal device!
