if I am in the room, he is in it ... And he started playing a lot more after I put it up.
Definitely a great deal for me. Assembly was easy too.
It may wobble slightly but that's just when he is being extra playful. Overall? I think it's a good buy
(The Problem Area: The perch with a door and tiny window the bottom two screw holes were not even close to matching with the two little peg stands. So I connected the cat scratcher stand with one tiny peg stand, leaving one peg out in the open. I took the screw from where one base was supposed to go. And combined one tower on top of the small peg, using the screw that the stand was originallygonna go on.)
It was very easy to assemble as well.
I love how much space it has and it’s really pretty. It’s also pretty sturdy not too much wobbling. And my cat lovesss it he sleeps on it like a baby.
A little worried about how the sisal is wrapped that it may not last. We will see.
Bought this because of the price. I think it will be ok.
Cats helped with assembly and we had it together in 30 min.
The size of the perches are good for a larger cat, however the layout of them has made it difficult for my large cat to get up on it with out having to physically climb. There is not a wide enough area for her to jump up on from the lower section to access the upper box or perch.
The price for what you get is good; this is the second tree from this brand that I have purchased. This new one is replacing a tree that lasted over 2 years and was destroyed in an accident of someone falling into it causing it to break off the towers. If this one lasts that long it will be well worth the cost. With having to stretch the fabric and in some places tear it to get the holes to line up I question if it will last that long.
The cat tree itself takes longer to put together just because the holes in the material don’t line up through the wood. It’s beautiful when finished. I just have to sell mine
Cats love
Super stable
Great build quality
Looks aesthetically pleasing
Great size for the price!
Easy installation
Easy instructions !
The price was perfect because I don’t have much money.
This came with many pieces . It took a while to put it together but was simple and not difficult to make the pieces fit.
Yeah it’s sturdy enough for all the cats but it’s a tad bit wobbly. I’ve yet to see a cat climbing post that wasn’t a little wobbly.
I think you and your cats will be happy with it.
To get them interested in the climbing post put some treats on every level . That’s what I did at first.
Assembly was pretty easy and directions were very helpful, however the fabric covered some of the holes on the larger hidey hole and we had to cut the holes.
It's so soft to the point my cats try to knead on it (can't knead wood buddy)
Once we assembled everything, it was fairly sturdy on it's own. It came with a loop you could attach to the wall to prevent it from falling over, but even with my orange (very relevant lol) 3mo old absolutely tearing the fuzz balls up, it never budged so we didn't see a need to put a hole in the wall. If it can withstand an orange idiot 24/7, then it can probably withstand the apocalypse.
My cats lounge and sleep on this thing all the time and it hasn't collected any fur whatsoever.
Overall, does exactly what it says it does; Provides a safe play and lounge area for your kitties!
Very sturdy -- enough length in the screws to secure very well (I kept screwing and screwing - I thought I was off - NO - just very secure bolts). Material is nice and thick. Easy for the cat to get on and climb around. Design couldn't be better -- it makes sense. The scratching posts - very tight.
This is the 2nd one I have gotten that are of good quality. (I have gotten more but quality was horrible).
Highly recommend this tree from this manufacturer.
It is much taller, has more perches, and is more stable than the cat tree I got for the same price from PetSmart years prior. I included a comparison picture. I normally get my cat trees from Costco because they had a good discount on the catry brand, but the recent one they had in stock, went up in price despite being smaller and having less beds and hides for the cats.
There were minor cosmetic issues like the holes in the fabric, not lining up with the drill holes, but that was easily remedied by cutting the holes to be a little wider.
The little viewing window in the larger hiding box is pretty small, so it feels like the door cut out and window cut out should be swapped based in where they are at on the tree. Again something I can easily fix myself by cutting the window to be a little wider, which I plan to do later.
I kinda wish more of the posts were covered in rope because there aren’t many places for them to actually scratch on the tree, but that’s something I can fix myself by going and getting some rope at the dollar store.
The instructions were pretty straightforward, and I was able to put it together by myself in roughly 45 minutes to an hour because I was having to fight my cats off the tree as I was building it.
It came with everything I needed to put together.
Shipped fairly fast and arrived when it was supposed to.
I would definitely buy again, just based on the price and size of the tree compared to other ones on the market.
Stability an issue, probably more so on carpets. My cat didn't seem comfortable on any of them and likely it was a combination of her, never having access to that type of verticality in our home before, and also because of how much the tree swayed or wobbled when I place her up there. I ended up removing two of the three posts/platforms because my cat also had difficulty climbing without enough flat surfaces to jump onto or from. Now she has more room to do so and spends plenty of time sitting where I removed the post. She plays with the hanging toys sporadically and while i'm sure they won't last forever, they seem just fine after the first month now.
I subtracted the one star because as originally intended, with all three posts, less agile cats may have a difficult time, even navigating this thing. I'm glad I only removed the two elevated platforms, but if you are creative enough and can drill a whole through particle board, there's actually plenty of potential for modifications or different configurations.
