Great price. Big bag.
I will buy this again for sure .
(Video is this seed being used in my camera feeder!)
The squirrels always hog this mix - I think they are huge fans of the fruit and nuts, and of course the sunflower seeds. The birds tend to get what's left, which is annoying because while I'm not prejudice against the Rubenesque squirrels, I do wish they'd let the birds get first dibs once in a while.
I used to buy a mix with milo seed in it and it wasn't popular with the wide variety of birds and critters, but this certainly brings all the boys, I mean, birds, to the yard.
Update: I have subsequently made multiple purchases of this because the birds and squirrels finish it off so quickly. I used to put food out every other day and now I have to do so every day. I think the birds told their friends and word spread that we’ve got the good stuff.
The animals love it more than the peanuts we put out. They even shake the feeder when it’s empty — no joke. If you have a bird cam, prepare for cuteness overload and nonstop notifications.
Buy it. Then sit back and enjoy the show. 🐿️🐦📸
Only thing they dont seem to munch on are the bigger nuts!
And of course, the squirrels love this food as well. I've tried a few of the Squirrel mixes from Kaytee, but the squirrels keep coming back to this stuff. I have to put out two separate trays with the same food to try to keep the squirrels away for a bit (then I get birds in the squirrel tray, and squirrels in the bird tray).
It's all good, I'm happy to have both birds and squirrels. Perhaps if I put a squirrel sign on the squirrel dish they will stay there. Probably not.
